1/4/2018 0 Comments hAPPY new year!!!!January 2018 has arrived!!!I have a lot to say so PLEASE keep reading until you reach the last post.) January is one busy month for us in 3rd grade! Report cards go home Friday, January 5th. There is a NUT Day on Wednesday, January 10th. Students may dress down and wear jeans for $1! We have a PTA performance on Thursday, January 11 at 5:00pm. Immediately following is the PTA meeting and Superhero Curriculum Night. This will run until 7:00pm. I hope to see everyone there! It is going to be a lot of fun!!!! Plan on wearing your superhero attire, as I will be dressed up too!!! Then, the 15th is a school holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The 16/17 will be our in-school field trip with High Touch/High Tech coming and doing some fun science experiments with our students!!!! (I always enjoy when they come to visit!) Our Awards Day is Thursday, January 18th from 8:15-8:45am (approximately and held in our classroom) Please note that this is informal and will be done during class time, so parent attendance is not necessary. Our big formal awards day will be in May. And that doesn't even touch what we are working on in the classroom to gear-up and prepare for our Milestones coming in April! We are busy little 3rd graders this half the school year, so please be sure to get plenty of rest, stay warm, and eat yummy, healthy meals!!! Also, please make sure that you are following on ClassDOJO and allowing your student time to work on Istation and First In Math when they are at home. These are great practice tools for reading and math, so if they happen to not have homework or need something extra to work on then these would be great tools to use!
